Yesterday's victory in Sunday's listed Eyrefield Stakes at Leopardstown clinched Michael Kinane's 12th Irish jockey's championship. Kinane finished with three winners and three seconds in the final flat racing meet of the year.

Owned by Mrs. John Magnier and trained by Aidan O'Brien, the Sadler's Wells 2-year-old filly Yesterday came on strongly close to home to defeat Eklim, with Kinane's top rival John Murtagh riding, by four lengths.
