Trainer Roger Attfield is among the newest inductees to the Ontario Sports Hall of Fame, to be honored in an induction ceremony set for Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto Sept. 29.

The event kicks off at Woodbine's trackside tent at 11 a.m. EDT.

Besides Attfield, other inductees include former world heavyweight boxing champion Lennox Lewis, world figure skating champion Brian Orser, Olympic gold medalist Cassie Campbell, and former NHL great Andy Bathgate.

Receiving the honor posthumously is former heavyweight boxing champ Tommy Burns.

The inductees will be paraded in convertibles on the racetrack following the first race. They will make a presentation to the winning connections of the second race.

As part of the celebration, Toronto Maple Leaf legend Darryl Sittler will be presented with the Sandy Hawley Award, which honors outstanding community service. Sittler has made significant contributions in the fight against cancer.

In addition, TSN Broadcaster Dave Hodge will be honored with the Brian Williams award for outstanding broadcasting.

Tickets for the event, including a full brunch buffet and meet and greet with the athletes, can be purchased at the entrance to the trackside tent.
