Jockey Julie Krone will return to riding Friday at Santa Anita. Krone, a Hall of Fame jockey, has not ridden since April of 1999.

The race is also the first race for her mount, Justly Royal. The 2-year-old Royal Academy filly is trained by Richard Mandella. The race is a $42,000 6 1/2-furlong turf race for maiden fillies.

On Saturday Santa Anita hosts the California Cup XIII, which offers 10 added-money races exclusively for California-bred horses. Krone is named on three mounts that day, Cee's Elegance in the second race, First Draft in the fifth race, and Yes We Do in the seventh race.

TVG will carry the Cal Cup on Saturday as part of "Trackside Live!: Oak Tree at Santa Anita." The program will air from 6:00-8:00 p.m. ET, and will be simulcast on Fox Sports Net West 2.

Covering the proceedings will be Priscilla Hojiwala, Matt Carothers, Frank Lyons and Claudia Simon.
