Thistledown Adds to Stable Area

Thistledown will give its horsemen a treat on Halloween. The track's five new barns are scheduled for completion on Oct. 31. The barns have a total of 170 stalls and increase the total backside capacity of the track to 1,598 stalls.
The new barns are open shedrows that can be closed in the winter and opened in the summer. They also have tack and feed rooms and wash areas for the horses.
