Nineteen broodmares and fillies formerly owned by the late Prince Fahd Salman will be offered at the Tattersalls December sale in England. The consignment from Salman's Newgate Stud includes Victoria Cross, the dam of champion sprinter Mozart, in foal to Danehill. Others in the draft include Velvet Moon, the dam of Godolphin's group I performer Moon Ballad, in foal to Daylami, and group II winner Last Resort, in foal to Mozart.
Another prominent offering will be the multiple group I winner Terre A Terre. The 5-year-old daughter of Kaldounevees was trained in France by Eric Libaud and stamped herself as one of the best fillies in Europe when she won the 2001 Prix de l'Opera (Fr-I). She was narrowly beaten in the Hong Kong Cup (HK-I) before ending her career by winning the Dubai Duty Free (UAE-I) in March of this year.
