Fantastic Light, Rahy's leading money earner in 2000 through mid-September, captures the Man O' War Stakes at Belmont Park.
The 2001 stud fee for Rahy, this year's fourth-leading North American sire by money earned, will nearly double from his 2000 fee, rising to $75,000. The 15-year-old stallion, who stands at Three Chimneys Farm near Midway, Ky., stood for an advertised fee of $40,000 in 2000.

Rahy (Blushing Groom--Glorious Song, by Halo) is represented by 14 stakes winners on the year from 19 added-money runners, tops in both categories for North American sires. Man O' War (gr. IT) winner Fantastic Light is Rahy's leading money earner on the year.

Three Chimneys also announced that the stud fees for Capote ($40,000 in 2001), Joyeux Danseur ($10,000), and Wild Again ($75,000) will be decreased for 2001. Seattle Slew, who will likely only cover shareholder seasons if breeding in 2001, is listed as "private." Fees will remain the same for the farm's other stallions.
