With a light drizzle falling and the temperatures still in the high 30s, it was a relatively quiet day Wednesday on the backside of Arlington Park in preparation for Saturday's Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships.

Some of the recent arrivals stretched their legs while galloping over the main track, but there were few real workouts.

In his final prep, Michael Tabor's multiple stakes winner Zavata breezed 4 furlongs in :50 3/5. The son of Phone Trick trained by Patrick Biancone was timed in fractional splits of :13 4/5, :26 4/5, and :30 3/5. He galloped out five furlongs in 1:02 4/5.

Also working Wednesday was Flaxman Holding's Good Journey, who went a half-mile in :54 4/5.

In another Cup development Wednesday, The Racing Post reported that Tabor's Rock of Gibraltar would contest the Mile rather than the Classic, for which he was also pre-entered.
