Leading Freshman Sire Elusive Quality to Stand at $30,000

Elusive Quality, who ranks first on the freshman and second on the overall 2-year-old list by progeny earnings, had his fee bumped from $10,000 to $30,000 for 2003. Elusive Quality (Gone West -- Touch of Greatness, by Hero's Honor) leads the first-crop sires with six stakes winners and 10 stakes wins. The group is led by European standout Elusive City.

Gainsborough Farm, located near Versailles, Ky., also announced that Quiet American will remain at $35,000. Quiet American (Fappiano -- Demure, by Dr. Fager) is represented this year by the earners of $2.9 million, and his earlier runners include dual classic winner and champion Real Quiet.
