Breeders' Cup Sprint (gr. I) contender Swept Overboard worked five furlongs Saturday at Hollywood Park in a bullet :59, handily from the gate, fastest of 38 drills at the distance.

Corey Nakatani was aboard.

"He finished strong," trainer Craig Dollase said of the son of the late End Sweep, who was fourth in last year's Sprint. "If he gets the right pace (in the Sprint) and the right trip, he should be tough."

In other Breeders' Cup developments in Southern California:

* Buffythecenterfold (Juvenile Fillies) worked seven furlongs at Santa Anita in 1:27.20 for trainer Mel Stute.

* Banks Hill is scheduled to work on Hollywood Park's main track Sunday morning in preparation for the Filly & Mare Turf. Jerry Bailey has been engaged to ride the 2001 female turf champion, according to his agent, Ron Anderson.
