Trainer Aidan O'Brien is considering an astonishing attempt at running Tomahawk not just in Saturday's group 1 Darley Dewhurst Stakes but also in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile a week later.

Three of O'Brien's four Dewhurst runners overlap in the Breeders' Cup, with Tomahawk, second last time out in the Group 1 Middle Park Stakes, thought to be the most likely to bid for such an audacious double.

Almost inevitably, O'Brien dominates the European pre entries for the Breeders' Cup races with entries in five of the eight races.

Newmarket trainer Sir Michael Stoute is targeting the Turf with this year's King George VI and Queen Elzabeth Stakes winner Golan.
