Walkslikeaduck and jockey Eddie Delahoussaye cruise to victory in the Grade II $300,000 Del Mar Derby.
Walkslikeaduck will makes his first start since equaling the Del Mar turf course record for 1 1/8 miles when he starts as the 122-pound highweight in the $150,000 Bay Meadows Breeders' Cup Derby (gr. IIIT) Saturday at Bay Meadows. After Purely Cozzene set a torrid pace (22:85, :45.37, and 1:09.04) in the Del Mar Derby, Walkslikeaduck rallied through the stretch under Eddie Delahoussaye to complete the 1 1/8 miles in 1:46.66. Delahoussaye will guide the Patrick Gallagher trainee from post six for the 1 1/8-mile turf race.

The field of six 3-year-olds for the Bay Meadows Breeders' Cup Derby will consist of:

2 -- Jekyll and Hyde, Rafael Meza, 114
3 -- Heritage Hall, Dennis Carr, 116
4 -- Calamari, Adalberto Lopez, 113
5 -- Jokerman, Kent Desormeaux, 119
6 -- Walkslikeaduck, Eddie Delahoussaye, 122
