Calder's leading apprentice Luis Chavez is heading for New York and Hall of Fame jockey Jorge Velasquez will be his agent. The 18-year-old native of Chile leaves Calder as the fourth leading rider, having notched 72 victories through 121 days of the meet. He is named on three horses at Belmont Park on Oct. 18...Dan Pride will now work with the Darley Stallions at Jonabell Farm near Lexington. Pride, formerly of Taylor Made Farm, will work with Jimmy Bell selling seasons at the farm... The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame will offer its Countdown to the Breeders' Cup on Sunday, October 20 at 4:00 p.m. in the Museum's Hall of Fame Theater. The popular program features video highlights from important prep races and audience discussion with a panel of experts. Admission is free. Mike Kane will host the panel which includes Mark Cusano, Nick Kling, and John Pricci. Free past performances, courtesy of Daily Racing Form, will be available while supplies last. Door prizes are provided courtesy of The Breeders' Cup Limited and Arlington Park...The National Museum of Racing will exhibit a retrospective of the paintings of Henry Koehler next year. To prepare for the exhibit, the Museum is seeking the location of some of the artwork by the famous equestrian painter. Anyone with information about the location of a Koehler painting or drawing should contact Kate Cravens, Curator of the Hall of Fame at the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame at 518-584-0400, extension 204. The Koehler exhibition will be on view from July 19 through October 19, 2003...Nominations for the first three stakes races of the Churchill Downs Fall Meet will close tonight at midnight (EDT). Those events include: The Oct. 27 $100,000 Ack Ack (gr. III) for 3-year-olds & up, the Nov. 2 $100,000 Pocahontas for 2-year-old fillies at one mile, the Nov. 3 $100,000 Iroquois (gr.
