John Deere's role in New York Showcase Day this Saturday will include sponsorship of one of the day's richest races, the Mohawk Handicap. The race is exclusively for New York-breds 3 years old and up and will cover nine furlongs on the turf. A total of nine races exclusively for New York-bred horses make up the showcase, which takes place at Belmont Park.
The John Deere company will be one of many organizations with booths at the day-long celebration of New York and New York racing. The tractor company will present six John Deere kid-sized pedal tractors, toys, and coloring books to Belmont's new backstretch childcare facility, Anna's House. The company will also display 20 antique tractors at Belmont Park.
