Grade I winner Captain Bodgit will be transferred to Louis Salerno's Questroyal Stud near Hudson, N.Y., from Steve Johnson and partners' Margaux Stud near Midway, Ky. The 8-year-old son of Saint Ballado will stay a minimum of two years and stand the 2003 season for $5,000, down from his 2002 fee of $10,000. The move is part of a plan by the two farms to stand stallions in New York.

Captain Bodgit, who was produced from the Greek Answer mare Answering Echo, scored his biggest wins in the 1997 Florida Derby (gr. I) and Wood Memorial Stakes (gr. II) and missed winning that year's Kentucky Derby (gr. I) by a head . He currently ranks 14th on the second-crop sire list by 2002 progeny earnings.
