Favored Love Everlasting battled back in the final furlong to win Saturday's Group III 1 1/2-mile Princess Royal Willmott Dixon Stakes at Ascot.

The 4-year-old filly by Pursuit of Love, under strong urging from jockey Kevin Darley, came on to defeat Bright and Clear, ridden by Frankie Dettori, by a length after the latter had gained the advantage in the late going.

Mark Johnston, who won three races at Ascot Saturday, trains Love Everlasting for Mr. and Mrs. G. Middlebrook.

Glam Rock was third, 1/4-length behind Bright and Clear.
