Michael Tabor and Mrs. John Magnier's Minardi moved to the lead with an about an eighth of a mile remaining for a 1 1/2-length triumph over Endless Summer in the Middle Park Stakes (Eng-I) at Newmarket, England. Endless Summer, who followed the winner as he made his move, finished three-quarters of a length in front of Red Carpet. Bad As I Wanna Be, the second choice in the 10-horse field, finished fourth.
A 2-year-old Boundary colt trained by Aidan O'Brien, Minardi completed the six furlongs in 1:12.75 over good to soft turf as he continued his domination over the European juvenile ranks. Minardi had been the impressive winner of Leopardstown's Heinz 57 Stakes previous to his Middle Park win.
