Chris Kay, president and chief executive officer of the New York Racing Association, will deliver the keynote speech during the University of Arizona Race Track Industry Program Global Symposium on Racing and Gaming, which is scheduled for Dec. 9-12 in Tucson.
Kay, who was named NYRA chief June 18, previously served as chief operating officer for The Trust for Public Land, managing director of International Business Development for Universal Parks and Resorts, and in several roles for the Fortune 500 company Toys "R" Us, including COO and general counsel.
"We are thrilled that Chris Kay will kick off this year's symposium," RTIP director Doug Reed said in an Oct. 1 release. "Racing fans wager around $2 billion a year on NYRA races making it a key player in our industry."
Additional information on the preliminary agenda, events, and registration for the symposium can be found at the university's website.
