Fasig-Tipton announced Oct. 7 that Golden Artemis, dam of impressive Darley Alcibiades (gr. I) winner My Conquestadory, will be offered at Fasig-Tipton's November Sale, along with her weanling filly by Desert Party .
The mare and foal will be consigned by their owner Paul Tackett, breeder of My Conquestadory.
The Fasig-Tipton select mixed sale will be held Monday, Nov. 4, in Lexington.
"We are thrilled at Mr. Tackett's decision to offer Golden Artemis and her foal at The November Sale," said Fasig-Tipton president Boyd Browning. "The mare is just seven and My Conquestadory is her first foal. As a young, grade I producer, Golden Artemis is already very special and My Conquestadory could very well build on that in a few weeks at the Breeders' Cup."
Golden Artemis and her Desert Party weanling filly are the first two horses to be added to the Fasig-Tipton November Sale's supplemental catalog. They are cataloged as hips 210 and 211, respectively, and their pedigrees may now be viewed online.
"The November Sale and its use of new technologies allows for the flexibility to add special horses such as these at a later date," Browning said. "It is a great tool for sellers that have horses with recent and major updates."
Browning was also quick to remind buyers that Mr. Tackett also will offer Golden Artemis's yearling half sister to My Conquestadory at Fasig-Tipton's upcoming October Sale to be held Oct. 21-23 in Lexington. The daughter of Horse Greeley is catalogued as hip 736 and will sell on the sale's second day.
