Top sprinter Kelly Kip.
Millionaire speedster Kelly Kip, who stood his first two seasons at Meadowbrook of Ocala Jockey Club in Florida, has arrived at Highcliff Farm near Delanson, N.Y. His fee will be $2,500 live foal.
"We're delighted to have him," said Suzie O'Cain, who helps run the farm with her husband, Dr. C. Lynwood O'Cain. "He created an indelible image of racetrack brilliance over and over. There's a horsemen's golf tournament coming up, and we're going to put a sleeve of balls in every golfer's bag with his name and the farm's name."
Eight-year-old Kelly Kip (Kipper Kelly -- Marianne Theresa, by John's Gold) won 15 of 31 races and earned $1,157,142 as a homebred for Jack Dreyfus' Hobeau Farm. Kelly Kip remains the property of Hobeau.
