No Decision on Lido Palace; Beat Hollow Works

All three of Hall of Fame trainer Bobby Frankel's stakes competitors on Saturday's Belmont card exited their races in good order. The best finish for the Frankel barn was Lido Palace, who ran second to Evening Attire in the Jockey Club Gold Cup.

"The winner loves wet tracks," Frankel said of Evening Attire. "My horse ran a good race."

Owned by John Amerman, Lido Palace is not Breeders' Cup eligible. In order to make the Classic (gr. I), Amerman would have to pay an $800,000 supplemental fee. Frankel said no decision has been made as to whether Lido Palace would run in the Classic.

"That's up to his owner," Frankel said.

Stronach Stable's Milwaukee Brew, sixth in the JCGC, is likely to make his next start in the Breeders' Cup Classic (gr. I), according to Frankel.

Frankel also said Starine, fourth in the Flower Bowl (gr. IT), is likely to run next in the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf (gr. It).

Frankel, who scratched Surya from the Flower Bowl yesterday because of the soft turf, will likely start her in Keeneland WinStar Galaxy (gr. IIT) on Oct. 4. She worked a half-mile in :50, breezing on the main track this morning.

Frankel also got works in for Beat Hollow, who went six furlongs in a bullet 1:13 4/5, breezing; and Sumitas, who went a half-mile in :49 3/5 on the fast main track.
