Claiborne Raises Pulpit's Fee

The Hancock family's Claiborne Farm increased the 2003 fee for prominent second-crop stallion Pulpit. His fee will rise from $60,000 to $75,000. Pulpit's 19 yearlings at the Keeneland fall yearling sale averaged $272,474.
Claiborne also announced that Coronado's Quest's fee has dropped from $75,000 to $35,000 and that Seeking the Gold's fee dropped from $250,000 to $225, 000. Monarchos' fee will remain at $25,000 for his second season at stud. Veteran stallion Danzig, who stood for $250,000 in 2002, will stand for a private fee.
