Ask the Moon, Hip 288, sold for $1.8 million at the Keeneland November Sale.

Barbara Banke's Stonestreet Farm tweeted it was "over the moon," after landing grade I winner Ask the Moon for $1.8 million at the Keeneland November breeding stock sale Nov. 6 in Lexington.

Consigned by Gainesway, agent, Ask the Moon is believed to be carrying a foal by War Front  .

Bred in Maryland by Mr. and Mrs. Charles McGinnes and Country Life Farm, Ask the Moon won the 2006 Personal Ensign Invitational Stakes (gr. I) at Saratoga Race Course.

About halfway through the second session, Ask the Moon is the 12th horse to reach or surpass $1 million at this year's sale. Last year's Keeneland November sale saw a total of seven horses reach seven figures.
