Veterinarian Tom Bowman, co-founder and former partner in Northview Stallion Station, has joined his son, Brooke Bowman, D.V.M., and veteran Maryland horseman Louis Merryman as a partner in the newly formed Heritage Stallions, it was announced Jan. 11.
Tom Bowman, along with his wife, Chris, has been the leading breeder in Maryland for six of the last eight years.
Heritage will stand six stallions for the 2014 breeding season at their facility near Chesapeake City, Maryland: Despite the Odds, a graded stakes-winning son of Speightstown  ; 2005 Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) winner Giacomo, a son of Holly Bull; Hunters Bay  , a champion son of Ghostzapper  ; Plan, a grade I son of Storm Cat out of Spain; multiple grade I winner Showing Up, by Strategic Mission; and Street Magician, a graded stakes-winning son of Street Cry (IRE).

Heritage Stallions will host an open house and stallion show on Sunday, Jan. 19 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. EST. Additional details are available on the farm website.
