Stakes Winner Leelanau Retired to Walmac

Graded stakes winner Leelanau has arrived at John T.L. Jones Jr.'s Walmac International near Lexington. Leelanau set a track-record of 1:03.11 for 5 1/2 furlongs in winning last year's Kentucky Breeders' Cup Stakes (gr. III) at Churchill Downs in his second start. Leelanau, a 3-year-old son of Carson City out of the Kris S. mare Kris's Intention, retires with two wins from three starts and earnings of $130,827. His fee is $2,500 live foal.
