Super Frolic, with substitute rider Abel Catellano Jr. aboard, overwhelmed favored Trust N Luck in the stretch run of the $100,000 Foolish Pleasure Stakes at Calder Saturday, winning by 4 1/2 lengths.

Castellano rode the 2-year-old colt, who covered the one mile and 70 yard distance in 1:45, because Rosemary Homeister, his regular jockey, took the day off after sustaining minor injuries in a fall Friday.

Winning trainer Milton Wolfson couldn't be at Calder Saturday for the $100,000 Foolish Pleasure Stakes since he or at Louisiana Downs for the $500,000 Super Derby (G2), where he saddled The Judge Sez Who for a fourth-place finish.

Super Frolic raced off the pace set by Unbridels King. Post time favorite Trust N Luck made an impressive bid turning for home in the mile and 70 yards race, gaining the lead in the stretch, but couldn't hold off the strong, late run of Super Frolic.

Trust N Luck, who was two lengths ahead of third place finisher Unbridels King. Super Frolic paid $13 for the win.

Super Frolic now remains undefeated in three starts. A Kentucky-bred son of Pine Bluff, he is not eligible for the Florida Stallion Stakes series at Calder.

"Lindsay Frolic (dam of winner) has been very good to us," said co-owner Steve Friedfertig. "I think this was her third foal and all three are stakes horses. He (Super Frolic) isn't eligible for the Stallion Stakes and I don't think there is anything here for him before December. I guess Milt (trainer Wolfson) will have to look for something out of town next."
