Sons of Partner's Hero and Fantastic Fellow, two sires whose first foals are 2-year-olds this year, brought $60,000 each to top Thursday's session of Keeneland's September Yearling Sale.
Halvorson Bloodstock bought a bay colt by Partner's Hero out of stakes-placed Out of a Cannon, by Raise a Bid for $60,000 from Mr. and Mrs. Rick Abbott's Charlton, agent for Welcome Here Farm.
The yearling is a half-brother to stakes winner Human Missile and Caveat's Shot.
Later in the day, Von Flew paid the same amount for a gray colt by Fantastic Fellow out of Cliff Lake, by Mining. Four Star Sales, as agent, sold the yearling.
