Grammarian Tops Kentucky Cup Turf Nominees

Grammarian, recent winner of the Sunset Handicap (gr. IIT) at Hollywood Park, is nominated to the $300,000 Kentucky Cup Turf Handicap (gr. IIIT) to be run Saturday at Kentucky Downs in Franklin.

The 4-year-old broke his maiden at Kentucky Downs last year in impressive fashion.

Veteran turf star Cetewayo, trained by Michael Dickinson, is also probable to run in the 12 furlong event.

The Turf Handicap is one of four stakes worth at least $100,000 on the Saturday card. The others are the $200,000 Kentucky Cup Mile, the $100,000 Kentucky Cup Ladies Turf Handicap and the the $100,000 Kentucky Cup Turf Dash Stakes.
