Woodward Stakes (gr. I) winner Lemon Drop Kid breezed four furlongs in :50 over a fast track at Belmont Park Sunday as the 4-year-old son of Kingmambo prepares for a start in the Jockey Club Gold Cup (gr. I). The 1 1/4-mile Gold Cup will be run at Belmont Park on Oct. 14th and will be his final prep for the Breeders' Cup Classic (gr. I). After the Classic, the Flint Schulhofer trainee will be retired.

In other Sunday works, Walkslikeaduck and Forest Camp both worked five furlongs over a good track at Santa Anita in identical times of 1:00 3/5, handily. The works, along with a 1:00 3/5 drill from Bonus Pack, were the fastest of 51 at the distance Sunday. Walkslikeaduck won the Del Mar Derby (gr. IIT) in his most recent start, equaling the Del Mar turf course record for 1 1/8 miles. Forest Camp won the six-furlong Pirate's Bounty Handicap by four lengths when last out.

At Hollywood Park, War Chant worked five furlongs in 1:00 2/5, handily, over a fast track. Honest Lady went four furlongs in :49 1/5, and Spanish Fern put in a seven-furlong drill timed in 1:25 4/5.
