Walzerkoenigin, a 3-year-old daughter of Kingmambo, posted an upset victory over older horses when she won Sunday's Ernst & Young Euro-Cup (Ger-II) at Frankfurt, Germany. Ridden by Filip Minarik, the filly completed the 1 1/4 miles in 2:05.78 over good going. German-breds Dictum, Diamante, and Gorlor rounded out the top four placings.

Triined by P. Schiergen for Gestut Schlenderhan, Walzerkoenigin has won four of seven starts, including the Prix Chloe (Fr-III) earlier this year.

Bred in Kentucky by Taiki Farm, Walzerkoenigin was purchased by German International for $275,000 from the Three Chimneys Farm consignment to the 2000 Keeneland July yearling sale.
