Compelling Sound, Rainbow Blues to Applebite

California-based stallions Compelling Sound and Rainbow Blues will be relocated to Joan Rogers' Applebite Farms near French Camp, Calif., for the 2003 breeding season. Fourteen-year-old Compelling Sound (Seattle Slew--Cheyenne Birdsong, by Restless Wind) will stand for $2,500. A graded stakes winner on both dirt and turf, he has sired three stakes winners, including 2002 added-money Compelling World. He is owned by Robert Barczewski and formerly stood at Hanson Stock Farm.

Nine-year-old Rainbow Blues (Bluebird--Tudor Loom, by Sallust) will stand for $1,500. A grade II winner at Del Mar and classic-placed at a mile in his native Ireland, Rainbow Blues earned $602,535. His first foals are yearlings. He is owned by Mr. and Mrs. Bob Irvin and formerly stood at Van Mar Farms.
