Del Mar and the NTRA are cooperating on Wednesday to broadcast a special program in honor of the 9/11 anniversary plus the closing stakes at the California track, the Del Mar Futurity. Both events will be carried on TVG.

At 4:10 p.m. (ET) on Wednesday a salute hosted by Dick Enberg will be simulcast to all racetracks across the country. It will feature a flag ceremony, a moment of silence, the singing of the National Anthem and a video tribute.

"These ceremonies will be brief, dignified and patriotic," said NTRA Commissioner Tim Smith. "We anticipate that there will be no racing or related activity conducted at any NTRA-member facility during this observance as our entire industry joins together for a collective period of remembrance and reflection."

As for the racing to follow, TVG will air Del Mar's race card on "Trackside Live-Del Mar," with simulcasting on Fox Sports Net 2 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. (PT). The day's feature is the eighth race, the grade II Del Mar Futurity.
