Janet, Voodoo Dancer Headline Sunday's Palomar

Eight fillies and mares are set to go postward Sunday in the 49th running of the $150,000 Palomar Handicap (gr. II) at 1 1/16 mile on Del Mar's Jimmy Durante Turf Course.

Locally based Janet, trained by Darrell Vienna, and Voodoo Dancer, a shipper from New York, likely will be the bettors' top choices. Janet, a 5-year-old daughter of Emperor Jones, already has earnings in excess of $1 million, while the 4-year-old Voodoo Dancer, by Kingmambo, has earned $765,588.

The Christophe Clement trainee from New York will carry high weight of 120 pounds, spotting her foes from one to eight pounds. Janet will carry 119.
