An 11-year-old son of Giant's Causeway , grade II winner Neko Bay, runner-up in the 2010 Santa Anita Handicap (gr. I), stood the 2014 season for $3,000 at Elite Thoroughbreds near Folsom, La. This year's 2-year-olds are Neko Bay's first crop. He has had five starters to date from his 25 juveniles.
Starting for the fourth time for trainer Scott Mullins and making his first start in the claiming ranks, Larry Bingham's Magic Bay opened a clear lead early and cruised to the easy win under Maria Thornton, completing six furlongs in 1:13.85 on the Polytrack.
