California Champion Go Go Retired

Go Go, who was 2001 California-bred sprinter, has been retired because of bleeding problems. Owned by Thomas and Thomas Racing, she ran fourth in the Aug. 25 Rancho Bernardo Handicap (gr. III) at Del Mar in her final start and was campaigned her entire career in Southern California.
Bred by Chris Ray, Go Go (Falstaff--Key Mist, by Plugged Nickle) last year won the A Gleam (gr. II), Las Flores (gr. III), Las Cienegas (gr. IIIT), and Desert Stormer (gr. III) Handicaps, plus the Survive Stakes. This year, she took the Great Lady M. Handicap on grass. Five-year-old Go Go retires with nine wins from 19 starts and earnings of $625,565.
