The Greatest Game, the Thoroughbred industry's new-owner initiative, will hold an informational session on the progress of the program Sept. 13 at the Keeneland sale pavilion. It is open to the public.
The meeting will begin at 4 p.m. EDT. The Keeneland September yearling sale gets under way that week, but Sept. 13 is a dark day.
Organizers will provide general information on the The Greatest Game, as well as discuss a consultant program by which representatives of the industry would be put in contact with potential Thoroughbred owners. Applications to become a consultant will be available at the Sept. 13 meeting.
The goal of The Greatest Game, which has been retooled recently, is to make Thoroughbred ownership a reality for prospective owners, as well as afford each prospective owner an optimum chance for success as they enter the world of Thoroughbred racing.
The Greatest Game (www.thegreatestgame.com) is a project of the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association, Keeneland Association, National Thoroughbred Racing Association, and The Blood-Horse.
