Bosque Redondo, who was pulled up shortly after running fifth in Sunday's Pacific Classic (gr. I), was scheduled to undergo surgery Monday at the Equine Medical Center in Cypress, Calif.

Veterinarian Dr. Wayne McElraith was to perform the operation to repair fractured sesamoids in his right front ankle and a condylar fracture of the cannon bone in the same leg.

Previously, reports from Del Mar said the surgery was to be performed Tuesday by Kentucky-based Dr. Larry Bramlage.

David Flores, who fell from Bosque Redondo after the race, was shaken up but otherwise uninjured. Flores requested and was granted permission to take off his remaining mounts on Sunday's and resumed riding Monday.
