Dancethruthedawn and Summer Colony Reunite in New York

Dancethruthedawn and Summer Colony, who finished a nose apart after a competitive stretch duel in the Pimlico Breeders' Cup Distaff Handicap (gr. III), meet up in Saratoga's grade I Personal Ensign Handicap on Friday. The two fillies went their separate ways in their starts since the Pimlico race--Summer Colony last won the Delaware Handicap (gr. III) and Dancethruthedawn won the grade I Go For Wand (gr. I)--and share highweight status Friday, each assigned 120 pounds.

"It was a bob of a head that separated them the first time they met," said Mark Frostad who trains Dancethruthedawn. "I would imagine a similar finish this time."

"Both fillies ran super that day," said Mark Hennig, who will saddle Summer Colony. "We've got a lot of respect for Dancethruthedawn. I'm glad to see they're at equal weights."

Both fillies are raced by their breeders. Edward P. Evans bred Summer Colony (Summer Squall--Probable Colony, by Pleasant Colony) and the Samuel family's Sam-Son Farms bred Dancethruthedawn (Mr. Prospector--Dance Smartly, by Danzig).

Four other fillies are scheduled to start Friday, and as all of them have excellent credentials, the Personal Ensign could be more than a two-horse race.
