No New Jersey Racing on Sept. 11

In honor of the first anniversary of September 11, Meadowlands Racetrack will not hold racing or host simulcasting on that date.
"We think this is the right thing to do on this important date, especially with so many people in the immediate area impacted by the events last Sept. 11," said George Zoffinger, president and CEO for the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority.
Meadowlands will be open Sept. 10 and 12.
