Bill Fasy, chief operating officer of Delaware Park, announced that the Delaware Thoroughbred Racing Commission approved five additional race days. Delaware Park has added Wednesdays to the schedule through Nov. 17, the end of the meet.
"The Rickmans, the horsemen, and management are in line to continue the success of the existing meet by continuing to grow purses at a modest rate during the meet across the board and to add days when approved where needed to levels which meet everyones goals," said Fasy in a release. "This has truly been the best meet since my arrival in 1996 and we look forward to a great finish in the fall. The extra days will reward those horsemen who stay until the end."
