Dancethruthedawn will try to capturing her second grade I at Saratoga this year when she starts in the $400,000 Personal Ensign Handicap on Aug. 23 for fillies and mares at a mile and a quarter.

"She came out of the race well and she'll work five-eighths tomorrow," said trainer Mark Frostad Friday from Woodbine, where the Mr. Prospector filly will work.

Multiple graded-stakes winner Summer Colony is expected to compete in the Personal Ensign as are Critical Eye, Pompeii, Starrer, Transcendental, and Two Item Limit.

Dancethruthedawn attempted the 10-furlong distance over this track last year in the Alabama Stakes (gr. I). Sent off at 3-1, she tired after racing close to the pace.

"I don't think the distance is any problem," Frostad said. "She beat males in the Queens Plate at a mile and a quarter before the Alabama. She had done quite a bit before the Alabama and I think she just needed a rest."

Frostad and owner Sam-Son Farms gave the filly the rest of the year off and their patience has paid off. This year, Dancethruthedawn won the Doubledogdare Stakes at Keeneland and was second and third in the Pimlico Breeders' Cup Distaff Handicap (gr. III) and Fleur De Lis Stakes (gr. II) at Churchill Downs.

Dancethruthedawn ships down from Woodbine on Aug. 19 and will be ridden by Jerry Bailey.
