Jockey David Clark is in stable condition but still in intensive care following a training accident at Woodbine Race Course Thursday morning. He is in Toronto's Sunnybrook Hospital. The native of Blaydon, England suffered two collapsed lungs, nine broken ribs, and a broken clavical while riding on the main track. Clark's agent, Ken Zweig, called the incident a freak training accident. "It's one of those very unfortunate things," said Zweig. "The horse just got spooked. It was nobody's fault."Clark, who has won more than 2,300 races, and $47 million over the course of his career, continues to recover from his injuries.
