Numerous Sold to Haras du Quesney

Eleven-year-old Numerous has been sold to the Head family's Haras du Quesney and will stand at that French nursery in 2003. The sire of 19 stakes winners, Numerous stood the past breeding season at Joe and Karen Jennings' Walnford Stud near Allentown, N.J., on behalf of a syndicate managed by the couple. He covered 98 mares. He previously stood at John Sikura's Hill 'n' Dale Farms near Lexington.
Numerous (Mr. Prospector--Number, by Nijinsky II) won the 1994 Derby Trial Stakes (gr. III) at Churchill Downs and earned a career total of $255,348. He is scheduled to stand the 2002 Southern Hemisphere season at Haras Firmamento in Argentina, He stood there several other times and is represented this year in Argentina by four group winners.
Walnford has replaced Numerous with 10-year-old Defrere. A full brother to champion Dehere, Defrere stood the past breeding season at Hill 'n' Dale and will stand next year for $5,000. He has sired four stakes winners.
