Graded stakes winner Highland Gold has been purchased by BnD Chase Thoroughbreds from George Todaro and trainer Jerry Hollendorfer and will stand at Ken Arnold Ranch near Stockton, Calif. His fee is $2,500.
Bred by Billy Joe Gary and Leslie Lawrence, 7-year-old Highland Gold (Slew o' Gold--Whitesburg Express, by Whitesburg) won seven of 25 starts and earned $266,445. He captured three stakes, including the 2000 Los Angeles Handicap (gr. III), and placed in four others.
