The 65-year-old Neff has been employed by Keeneland for 41 years...The Horse Farm Workers' Educational Assistance Fund announced 43 new scholarship recipients. The fund aids children of full-time farm workers for education after high school...The Meadowlands Racetrack released its 2002 stakes schedule and calendar which features 63 racing days and $1.5 million in stakes purses over eight races, highlighted by the $400,000 Meadowlands Cup on Friday, October 4. Five of the eight stakes are graded for the racing season, including the $400,000 Meadowlands Cup on Oct. 4. Racing begins Monday, Sept. 2, and runs through Saturday, Nov. 23. In addition to the stakes schedule, Meadowlands officials also announced a new post time for Tuesdays at the East Rutherford Racetrack. Throughout the season, Tuesday post time will be 1:10 p.m. The same time will prevail on Thursday, September 5, and the five special Mondays of racing on September 2, October 14 and November 4, 11 and 18...Robert Volk has been named to the Nebraska Racing Commission. Volk managed Aksarben ractrack from 1984-1990. Volk, 64, is a former president of the Nebraska Thoroughbred Racing Association.
