Horse of the Year Favorite Trick, who is represented by a graded stakes-placed filly from his first crop, welcomed his first winner July 31, when his son Favorite One won at seven furlongs at Laurel for Harry and Tom Meyerhoff. Trained by newly inducted Hall of Famer Bud Delp, the colt was bred by Joseph LaCombe, who raced Favorite Trick, in partnership with John T.L. Jones Jr. Favorite Trick (Phone Trick--Evil Elaine, by Medieval Man) stands at Jones' Walmac International near Lexington.
