Marsha Naify's 505 Farms and Training Center in Lexington, Ky. will be offered a public auction on Sept. 13, according to Tom Biederman, of Biederman Real Estate and Auctioneers, which is handling the sale.

The 427-acre farm, which will be sold in three tracts, consists of a six-furlong training track, 15 barns with 136 stalls, and seven houses. The farm was owned by the late Marshall Naify, who died in April 2000.

"I think it's the distance factor," Biederman said of Naify's reason for selling the property. "She lives in California and has been trying to run it from a distance and that's difficult to do."
