Marlin Colt Takes German Group I

Kaieteur, a 3-year-old son of Marlin--Strong Embrace (by Regal Embrace) bred in Kentucky, rolled to a two-length victory Sunday in the Grosser Dallmayr-Preis (Ger-I) at Munich, Germany.
The colt ridden by Pat Eddery ran the 1 1/4 miles over soft turf in 2:09.85 as he posted his third win in his seventh career start. Godolphin Racing's Equerry, favored in the eight-horse field, finished fourth. The winner, whose previous best was a second in the Prix Eugene Adam (Fr-II). Bred in Kentucky by Nelson McMakin races for Mrs. S. MacCarthy.
