TVG Network and FoxSports.com on Lycos announced Monday that the two companies have forged a strategic alliance. According to a joint announcement, FoxSports.com on Lycos will launch a new horseracing section of its Web site featuring Real Time Racing, TVG's new live video streaming service of races from Saratoga, Del Mar, Churchill Downs, Hollywood Park, Arlington Park and Keeneland for wagering account subscribers, racing news and live odds and results for TVG partner racetracks and links to TVG's website, www.TVGNetwork.com. The new features can be accessed at www.FoxSports.com, keyword Horseracing... After being overtaken by 4-5 favorite Private Emblem in deep stretch, Trial Prep regained the lead and went on to win Saturday's $143,733 New York Derby by three-quarters of a length. Ridden by John Grabowski, the winner raced the 1 1/16 miles at Finger Lakes Race Track in 1:45.18 and paid $8.10, $2,90, and $2.50. Private Emblem returned $2.50 and $2.10 and No Parole, winner of the Mike Lee Stakes, finished third to pay $2.30. Trained by Richard Dutrow, the 3-year-old son of Ormsby races for Hemlock Hills Farm, Sanford Gold Farm, and Gabrielle Farm. Bred in New York by Lou Meittinis, Trial Prep has won four of six career starts... Patti Cooksey, the all-time second-leading female rider in North America with 2,120 victories, is one of nine new inductees into the Kentucky Athletics Hall of Fame. Cooksey, the first female to ride in the Preakness, recently returned to riding after a 9 1/2-month absence following cancer surgery. Cooksey and the other eight will be inducted into the Hall of Fame during the organization's annual banquet Sept. 9 at the Executive Inn West in Louisville, Ky.
