Formal Gold, Cape Town Get First Winners

Millionaire Formal Gold was represented by his first winner July 21 when his daughter Risky Kitten won a 5 1/2 furlong race in 1:08 by 6 1/2 lengths at River Downs in her initial start. Owner Charles Wilkinson bred the filly in partnership. Formal Gold (Black Tie Affair--Ingoldsby, by Screen King) stands at Graham J. Beck's Gainesway Farm near Lexington.
Cape Town's winner came the same afternoon. His daughter Red Azalea won a seven-furlong race in 1:26.39 at Louisiana Downs for owner Nelson Bunker Hunt. She was bred by Dr. Donald S. Dreyfuss. A grade I winner, Cape Town (Seeking the Gold--Seaside Attraction, by Seattle Slew) stands at William T. Young's Overbrook Farm near Lexington.
