Wish, a winning 3-year-old daughter of Danehill, brought the top price of 110,000 guineas (approximately $178,898) Tuesday during the first session of the Tattersalls July sale in England. Produced from the Cherry Hinton Stakes (Eng-II) winner Dazzle, Wish was offered in foal to Pivotal, whose daughter, Megahertz, won the inaugural American Oaks this past Saturday at Hollywood Park. Newmarket-based bloodstock agent Jill Lamb purchased Wish from Cheveley Park Stud.

Powered by filly and mare reductions by Cheveley Park, Gainsborough Stud, and Darley, the July sales opened strongly. The 130 horses sold grossed 1,363,200 guinseas ($2,217,034) and averaged 10,486 guineas ($17,054). The median was 5,000 guineas ($8,132). Compared to a year ago, the gross, average, and median increased by 90%, 52%, and 8%, respectively.
